Trident and Konka to develop new generation of 1080p TVs

Trident Microsystems, Inc. a worldwide leader in the development of advanced digital TV technology for the consumer digital video marketplace, and KONKA Group, a leading television and mobile phone manufacturer in China, today announced the establishment of a cooperative technology laboratory. KONKA and Trident will cooperate in digital TV and HD-ready TV decoding and video processing product development for 1080p LCD TVs based on Trident's HiDTV(TM) and SVP(TM) video processor families.
